Not in the traditional sense.
Inner Garden Learning provides personalised learning support for primary-aged learners that blends educational guidance with social-emotional development, confidence-building, and mindful, child-led practices. While we may work on literacy, numeracy, or learning foundations, the focus is always on nurturing the whole learner, supporting their curiosity, independence, and capacity to engage, without pressure, comparison, or rush.
-
Sessions always start gently.
The first 1–2 sessions focus on relationship-building, giving your learner space to feel safe, settle in, and build trust. This approach ensures that each session aligns with their energy, interests, and developmental needs before diving into learning activities.
-
Progress can take many forms and is unique to each learner. Families often notice:
Increased confidence and willingness to try new things
Greater ease engaging with learning and challenges
Stronger self-expression and communication
Deepened curiosity and engagement
Solid learning foundations, developed in line with your learner’s readiness
Growth isn’t always linear, this approach values process over pace and honours each learner’s rhythm.
-
Inner Garden Learning works best as consistent, ongoing support. Learning unfolds naturally through relationship, connection, and continuity, term-based sessions provide the space for confidence, curiosity, and independence to grow.

Brief check-ins are always welcome. For more in-depth reflection, updates, or planning, I offer a Parent/Carer Feedback Circle as an optional add-on. This ensures conversations happen in an unrushed, intentional space while keeping session time fully focused on your learner.
-
I draw on evidence-based teaching strategies and curriculum-aligned foundations where it supports your learner’s needs, rather than following a rigid program. Each session is tailored to the child’s pace, curiosity, and developmental readiness.
-
Support is primarily focused on working directly with your learner.
If communication is helpful, this can be arranged as an optional, additional service, emails, meetings, or written input can be planned thoughtfully on a case-by-case basis, ensuring professional boundaries and quality support. -
Formal reports are not part of regular sessions.
Written feedback can be discussed and arranged as an optional add-on, giving families clear insight while keeping learning sessions child-focused. -
Your learner’s wellbeing is my priority. If I feel another professional would be a better fit at any stage, I will communicate this openly and thoughtfully. My goal is always to ensure ethical, appropriate, and effective support for every learner.

This depends on the learner.
Some children benefit from a parent nearby, especially in the early stages, while others thrive with more independence. We’ll decide together what best supports your learner’s sense of safety and confidence. -
Growth looks different for every human.
Some families notice early shifts, while deeper learning and emotional changes unfold gradually. This work values process over speed and honours each learner’s unique pace. -
